CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2008
On 25 September 2008, community rugby in the Ospreys’ region will converge on the Liberty Stadium, Swansea, for a black tie gala evening of celebration.
Rugby legends and stars of today’s game will rub shoulders with the unsung heroes who help the game at every level, in every way.
The Awards Ceremony will be hosted by the Chairman of the Judges and all-time great JPR Williams, who will also present awards alongside fellow greats Scott Gibbs, Shane Williams and Ryan Jones.

Through the kind generosity of official sponsors John West, every WRU Member Club in the Ospreys’ region has been allocated complimentary tickets for this very special evening.
Subject to the final number of Clubs participating we hope to offer up to four complimentary tickets at each sponsored table.

THE AWARDS CATEGORIES
We invite you to nominate the truly exceptional volunteers who make a remarkable contribution to your Club, and the game as a whole.
Their contribution might range from refereeing and coaching; to organising fixtures and administration; to catering and social events; to maintaining the pitch and your facilities.
Two principal categories will be awarded:
- The Clubman or Clubwoman of the Year Award: recognises exceptional achievement and the innovation or inspiration behind it during the last season.
- The Outstanding Contribution to Community Rugby Award: recognises long term commitment and dedication to a Club which embodies the spirit of community rugby.
Each category will honour two winners, one each from the Senior and Junior (Under 18) sections.
Each award will also come with a £2,500 grant for the winner’s Club.
